History Night 2011 - Egypt Theme
Our classroom was transformed into Egypt! The students 'Egyptian twins' were hung up and their artwork, projects and writing assignments from our Egypt unit were on display.

Pocahontas
We read the story of Pocahontas and discussed Jamestown and John Smith today. We made a 'lapbook' containing information (maps, facts, pictures) of all we had learned!

Valentines Day
We are all set for our classroom Valentines Day party on Monday! There will be 3 activity stations the kids will rotate through that include Valentines Bingo, card decorating and decorating heart-shaped sugar cookies!

Landforms Unit
We have been studying landforms and the students created a fold-out construction craft illustrating mountains, valleys, rivers, ice caps, and hills

Solar System Project
We made a 3D Solar System project. We painted a stryfoam ball yellow to represent the sun and then colored and added onto string the planets in their away from the sun. The kids then were assigned a project in which they had to invent their own planet! They got to decide the temperature, if there is life on it, the color, etc and present to the class.
