Our newest history unit is on the Aztecs, Incas and Mayas. I am having the kids create a 'lapbook' on information we have learned!

We read "The Legend of the Poinsettia" and made poinsettia's to decorate our bulletin board with!

Thanksgiving Bulletin Board! Children cut out and colored turkeys and wrote things they are thankful for

The kids were very interested in the process of mummification!

And made replica pyramids

Mesopotamia

Unit on Mesopotamia! We labeled a map of Mespotomia and included the Nile River, Red Sea, Upper and Lower Egypt and Mediterranean Sea

We also wrote our names in Cunneiform writing in clay!

Back to School Night

The children drew a picture of themselves and answered the questions below (what color is your hair? what is your favorite food? etc) but did not put their names on the sheet of paper. Instead, their name was printed on a little hand flap and attached to the sheet of paper. I posted these on the wall for the parents to guess which picture was their child's from the clues!
